Hello December: Current fav songs, books and films!

Hello everyone, it's been a while! 😊

Life has been a bit hectic lately—between work and battling a stubborn winter cold, finding the time to write reviews and share posts has been quite the challenge. However, I've finally carved out time to plan posts for the rest of 2024. Can you believe how quickly the last few months have flown by? I want to extend a huge thank you to all the artists who have shared their work with me over the past year. It has been an amazing year and I've discovered many new artists and songs through other fantastic music blogs and platforms, as well as from artists sharing their stories with me. Stay tuned, because in just a few days, I’ll be celebrating my top artists of the year in a special 2024 post! Plus, I’m excited to share a winter wonderland playlist that includes some instrumental pieces and classic Christmas songs. Can’t wait to share it all with you!🥰 In the meantime, here are some of my current fav songs, books and films- don't forget you can also listen to my playlists over on Spotify by clicking the link in my bio.

Currently listening to.....'I Don't Know' by ONE N' ONLY

I recently came across ONE N' ONLY and have been listening to their discography- they have some really catchy songs and I particularly like the retro production of this track!

Currently Reading....'Never' by Rick Astley

After watching Rick Astley's performance at Glastonbury with Blossoms, I became interested in Astley's career beyond his hit single 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. So far, the book gives interesting insight into the music industry back in the 80s and how Astley's childhood shaped his drive and passion for music.

Currently watching....'Arrival' on Netflix

The first time I watched this, I fell asleep partway through and woke up very confused by the ending...so I recommend watching it when you're not sleepy as it's a fantastic film!😂 I love the soundtrack and it really complements the muted tones of the visuals. The film has a captivating plot and characters, would highly recommend checking it out! You can watch 'Arrival' now on Netflix (see the trailer below)

Do you have any song, book or film recommendations? Leave your suggestions below and I will check it out 😊
