'umbilical cord' is the new single from indie singer‑songwriter Meredith Disney‑Walford, following their deeply confessional debut EP the child you created but you never could love. 'umbilical cord' leans into a hazy shoegaze atmosphere, built around a delicately strummed guitar line and soft percussion that drifts beneath the mix almost like a pulse. Meredith's vocals remain the centrepiece-rich, expressive and dynamic while guiding the track’s subtle shift in momentum as th
