'This Beautiful Fantastic' is a British romance drama written and directed by Simon Aboud, starring Jessica Brown Findlay and Andrew Scott. The film follows the story of Bella Brown, a reclusive writer who struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder. When her neighbour Mr Stevenson dismays at her abandoned garden, a notice of eviction leads to the young writer having to clean up her garden within one month.
Alongside the plot's focus on the revival of a wild garden, the film explores the divide across generations. Whilst Mr Stevenson passionately argues that his neighbour "murders flora that keep this planet alive", Bella's inexperience with gardening threatens her impending eviction. As the characters reach a mutual understanding, charm and comedy emerge in the dialogue that underlies the script. 'This Beautiful Fantastic' is not your typical story of romance, despite the trailer's efforts to make it so. The incredible soundtrack by Anne Niktin produces a magical atmosphere that slowly immerses the viewer into the world of Bella Brown, a world that is full of wonder and adventure. If you are a fan of indie films, or love romantic dramas then you will love this film. Check out the trailer for 'This Beautiful Fantastic' in the link below.
