It's been a while since I wrote a 'lifestyle' post, but I have finally finished university so I have more time to publish blogs and ramble! I started the blog last year during the first lockdown, and since then I have been balancing university work with the blog. It's been a challenging but rewarding experience. It's strange to think how three years have just flown by! Most of my time at university has unfortunately taken place during lockdown; since March 2020 teaching has been online with seminars and lectures taking place on Zoom.
It has been a strange experience for everyone but particularly isolating for students who have been completing exams/deadlines and dissertations from home. My degree is a humanities subject so the transition to online teaching wasn't too difficult but it was challenging to conduct seminars online (especially when the internet connection kept playing up...). I am glad that societies kept me distracted during lockdown, the songwriter's soc provided a welcome break from university work and we managed to hold sessions virtually and host some fun songwriting sessions and festive quizzes for our members. (Thank you to everyone who attended our sessions this year!) Hopefully, as restrictions ease we can host more in person sessions and perhaps some live gigs.
Now that I have completed my deadlines I am going to spend the rest of the summer seeing my friends from university who I haven't seen IN MONTHS and write reviews/interviews for the blog. Since coming to university three years ago I have completed my degree, performed gigs, written hundreds of reviews/interviews but most importantly met some amazing people who have become my closest friends.

Currently Reading (rereading): Lockwood and Co- The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud (I just love this series so much, I've read it hundreds of times and I can't wait to watch the Netflix adaptation!)
Currently Watching: Perfume Imaginary Museum 'Time Warp' (so fascinating to watch how Perfume incorporate visuals into their live performances, they were due to play Tokyo Dome but the concert was postponed due to Covid).
