Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves :)
We've been having crazy weather here in the UK, after a heatwave it is finally starting to rain and cool down. It was a short-lived summer!
Since returning home from university I have been meeting up with friends and focusing on the blog. I have had so many submissions this month so thank you to everyone who submitted their music/projects, I'm fully booked until the end of August so do get in touch if you are releasing anything in early September onwards. I'm so happy to see that so many artists are finally playing live gigs again, it's beginning to feel like things are returning to normal (or our new normal). Apart from writing music reviews, I've also started writing film reviews for the blog and it has been so much fun. I find writing about film a lot easier than writing about music...don't know why...maybe because I am more of a visual than auditory person?
As well as Netflix movies I have also been watching the Tokyo Olympics, so far I have been obsessed with watching the archery. I really want to try doing archery....not because of my love for LOTR but because it looks like a lot of fun.... ;) Which sporting events have you guys been enjoying so far?
I hope you are all having a great summer and thanks again for continuing to support my blog!
Keiko
Keiko recommends.... 'Heatwave' by THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE
I came across this song on YouTube and thought the chorus was insanely catchy...then I saw the choreography.... it is so so good and I had no idea there were so many members?! >o<
It's hard to count them in the video but their dancing is so synchronised and flawless so check it out!
Currently Reading....'Smoke' by Dan Vyleta
This book is like a mixture of Harry Potter and The Golden Compass with it's engaging narrative and mysterious characters. I am halfway through the book and so far I like the concept behind the smoke and I hope they make this into a film one day! Also can we appreciate how dramatic this trailer is?!
Currently Watching...'The Half of It'
I think this film is so underrated, I was apprehensive about it because I thought it would be a cliché teen romance film but it was full of surprises and I enjoyed the plot and characters. Check out the trailer below and let me know if you've seen the film before!
