'Mike Fake' by Nature TV

'Mike Fake' is the new single from Brighton-based indie-pop band; Nature TV, consisting of members Guy Bangham (vocals, guitar), Josh Eriskin (bass),James Hunt (BV’s,lead guitar)and Zal Jones (drums).

This 70s inspired track masterfully blends psychedelic guitar melodies with a moving bass line that adds a sophisticated touch to the backing instrumental. The relationship between the bass and guitar riff evokes nostalgia and sees the band cement the sounds explored in their previous singles like 'Summer Nights' and 'Gracie', adding a broader spectrum of classic 70s sounds and rhythmic melodies. The production and mix of 'Mike Fake' is beautifully balanced, with the warmth of the bass complimenting the main vocals and harmonies. This is accompanied by lyricism that follows the reflective tone of the track, further highlighting the sophisticated writing and composition of the track. If you have never heard of Nature TV then I would highly recommend checking out their new single 'Mike Fake' which you can also hear now on my Spotify Reviews Playlist (link in bio).
