My Favourite Podcasts!

Over the past few weeks, I have been listening to podcasts in the evenings and, I have found them to be a great way to destress and relax. The only problem is that they do make me fall asleep so, I tend to miss the majority of the episodes...

I am currently busy with deadlines and blogging, but podcasts have provided a nice break from work!

If you have any suggestions or want to share some of your favourite podcasts, then leave a comment down below!

My Favourite Podcasts

1. Song Exploder- this podcast features a variety of artists and musicians who break down their songs and discuss how they write and produce their music. If you love listening to music or are interested in music production, then this podcast is for you!

My favourite episode is 'Break Apart' by Bonobo featuring Rhye

2. You're Dead To Me- a fun BBC historical podcast that invites experts/scholars to discuss different historical topics with comedians. If you are interested in history or loved Horrible Histories growing up as a kid (or still love watching Horrible Histories) then I recommend checking out this podcast! My favourite episode is 'The Witch Craze'

3. Modern Love- this WBR podcast discusses topics of love and relationships from stories submitted to the weekly columns of the New York Times. Each episode features a new story read by a different celebrity. If you like podcasts about love, loss and relationships, then I would recommend checking out this podcast and the weekly column in The New York Times.

4. The Infinite Monkey Cage- This is probably my favourite podcast! The podcast invites a panel of experts to discuss different topics every week in front of a live audience. Hosted by Brian Cox and Robin Ince, this is a brilliant podcast for anyone interested in science or general knowledge. My favourite episode is 'Invasion'.

5. Forest 404- this is an eco sci-fi thriller starring Pearl Mackie, Tanya Moodie, and Pippa Haywood. The story follows the story of Pan, who discovers recordings and sounds from the 21st century, a time before 'The Cataclysm' and the data crash. This podcast has nine episodes in total and features music composed by Bonobo. I found this podcast incredibly haunting and relevant to current concerns regarding our relationship with the environment. The sounds used in the background of the story are so haunting and I would highly recommend listening to this podcast with headphones.

I hope you liked my top five podcast recommendations, let me know if you have a favourite podcast!
