Over the past few weeks I've been looking for a spooky story to get myself in the mood for autumn/fall. Teri Terry's YA supernatural story is a page-turning thriller that will keep you hooked and ready for the spooky season.
The story revolves around Liv, who has the supernatural ability to speak to the dead, including her twin sister Molly who passed away at birth. Liv's close relationship with her sister becomes strained when she meets Echo, a boy who is looking for answers following a fatal accident that involved his mother. With vague memories of the accident, Liv attempts to help Echo resulting in dangerous life-threatening situations as Liv begins to disturb the barrier that divides the living and the dead. Teri Terry is fantastic at writing engaging plot twists that grabs the readers attention, creating intrigue and mystery surrounding the character of Echo.
If you were a fan of Terry's YA dystopian series 'Slated', then I think you will enjoy 'Scare Me', a story that leans towards supernatural thriller.
