'Space Age Love Song' by James Burt

'Space Age Love Song' is a track that transports the listener to the 80s, with layered synthesizers and upbeat instrumentation bringing a nostalgic but futuristic sound.

You may have heard this song before if you're a fan of 80s music; originally released in 1982 by the new wave band, A Flock of Seagulls, the single was one of the band's most successful singles. Burt's cover of this 80s synth track brings the song into the modern day with crisp production and a rich arrangement of synths elevating the single's dreamy ambience. Whilst this is a cover, Burt incorporates his unique style that nicely compliments his previous releases including 'Leave So Soon' and 'Sing That Song'. This cover not only showcases Burt's talent as an artist but as a musician who can interpret other works, retaining the original story of the track whilst adding their own style and personality to the production, something which requires a lot of skill and is very difficult to achieve. If you loved the original single by A Flock of Seagulls then I think you'll appreciate this cover!
