Featured as part of the soundtrack for the new High&LOW THE WORST X, 'THE POWER' draws inspiration from the film's action/gang plot creating a bold track that features catchy melodic hooks and sleek production.
'THE POWER' by J-pop dance-vocal group The RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE sees the group change their sound, with production shifting focus towards experimenting with vocal texture and incorporating heavy percussion that guides the choreography and visuals. The melodic synth riff at the beginning of the song has a nostalgic feel that blends nicely with modern production that draws influence from hip-hop and pop music. 'THE POWER' has multiple vocal lines and subtle stylistic features that hooks the listener after a few listens. Whilst it may not be their most pop influenced track, it certainly demonstrates the versatility in their sound and image, with the group also embarking on their acting careers as part of the HIGH&LOW franchise.
The group have also released 'Fallen Butterfly' which is a great contrast to 'THE POWER' so I would highly recommend checking it out if you prefer rap/hip hop influenced music. I personally love this single, and I think the visuals and style of this music video only emphasise the charm of the group's vocals and instrumentation. Hi! Keiko-san! Thank you for your wonderful review. I was impressed. THE RAMPAGE is aiming for global expansion. If everyone in England knows his RAMPAGE name and songs, they will be very happy! The Japanese theme song "Tsunage Kizuna" of the world ballet currently being held in Holland has also been distributed! I would be happy if you could listen to it.
