I first read about 三代目 J SOUL BROTHERS years ago in a Japanese fashion magazine, but I never took the initiative to check out their music. Recently I have been listening to a lot of J-POP artists represented under the label LDH. This label runs and manages all of the Exile groups, with each group showcasing their own unique style and look.
'TONIGHT' introduces the listener to the group's sensual RnB melodies with a mix of sung and rapped verses that pulls the listener in with its catchy hooks and infectious rhythm. From the outset, this track has glossy pop production with the gentle vocals contrasting with the dark brooding bass which drives the backing instrumental. The fast paced choreography alongside the sensual visuals adds to the mature sound of 三代目 J SOUL BROTHERS, and the R&BTrap Remix further accentuates the nocturnal imagery of the lyrics. I am just sad that I didn't listen to their music sooner!
