J-pop group, THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE have released a brand new music video for their forthcoming single '24karats GOLD GENESIS' which will be released on the 24th July. Carrying the legacy of EXILE, '24karats GOLD GENESIS' is the epitome of what EXILE and LDH is all about...
The music video sees the group paying tribute to the bold visuals and hip-hop roots they've inherited from their predecessors. Having followed THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE for a few years, it is clear that they are a group that have a commanding stage presence and impressive technical ability; this is at the forefront of the music video which features rapped verses from MA55IVE alongside a dance break that reminded me of '24karats STAY GOLD' by EXILE. A highlight from the track is Kazuma's verse which adds texture and variation, balancing nicely with Hokuto and RIKU's vocals.
Throughout the song, EXILE's presence is represented both sonically and visually, with producer sty (who worked on 16BOOSTERZ) helping to bring the nostalgic beats of EXILE into the new era of LDH with a modern twist. After listening to the song a few times, you can't help but appreciate the importance of EXILE and the foundation they created for subsequent groups. This is a fiery track with a music video that will entice new listeners and those who have followed EXILE from the beginning.
