[Another Night] is the brand new single from Glaswegian indie-rock band Oh Romance, a song that explores themes of distance and desire.
Their latest track delves deeper into the band's indie-pop sound, featuring gentle vocals accompanied by a steady strummed guitar. Described as a song that is "inspired by the realities of the pandemic and its limitations on blossoming new romances", [Another Night] explores the difficulties of maintaining distance when one desires to be with someone. The drive and intensity behind the backing instrumental keep the listener focused on the lyrics and convey an almost coming-of-age visual sequence. What I like about [Another Night] is how it is incredibly different to the band's previous singles [Are You Satisfied?] and [All That You Needed]. It showcases the depth of the band's sound and imagination, displaying relatable lyricism and catchy melodic hooks that make them stand out. I think this may now be my favourite Oh Romance single!
