The latest single from Da-iCE titled [Break Out] is an energetic song written by vocalist Sota Hanamura and features as the opening theme song for the anime series 'Orient'. The group recently won the prestigious grand prize at the 63rd Japan Record Awards, with their popular song [Citrus] which featured on their latest album SiX.
[Break Out] has the same tone as [DREAMIN' ON] which also featured for the popular anime One Piece, however, it brings a bold style of melody which hints at sounds that could be explored in the group's recently announced upcoming EP titled [REVERSi]. This concept EP is expected to contain nine tracks with several singles released during the next coming weeks leading up to the release date (16th February 2022). [Break Out] contains an interesting choral structure and is an instantly recognisable Da-iCE track with the duo vocalists once again displaying their range by showcasing their powerful harmonies. I think that this is a great track, especially for those who may not have heard about the group before. But since their well-deserved win at the 63rd Japan Record Awards, I think people are starting to recognise the group's incredible passion for music and their dedication towards spreading their name not only in Japan but across the globe.
