The Crying Violets are back with their brand new single 'Broken Dreams Club', a track that nicely builds upon the dreamy guitar melodies explored in their previous work.
'Broken Dreams Club' incorporates slow dreamy guitars with mellow melodies creating a track that stylistically is reminiscent of Hippo Campus' debut album 'Landmark'. The instrumental section following the chorus features catchy backing vocals that glide with the bass and percussion immersing the listener in its summery tones. Katie's vocals shine through the production, with the added harmonies in the pre-chorus creating atmospheric tones that beautifully lead into the chorus. Compared to their previous release 'San Francisco Blues', this track displays creative growth in terms of sound as the band cement their musical style leaving the listener wanting more. I look forward to hearing what the band release next, check out 'Broken Dreams Club' in the link above or hear the song on my Spotify reviews playlist.
