'Celebration, Florida' comes from Leeds/York-based indie-musician Marnie Glum (aka Charlotte Lynch).
I chose to feature the single on my lockdown playlist back in June as I loved the track's dreamy instrumentation and Marnie's soothing vocals. The song feels like a warm blanket that envelops the listener with its atmospheric guitar and distinct lo-fi percussion. The layered vocals and harmonies accentuate the summery tones underlying the main melody that blends to form a hazy soundscape. The visuals and artwork created by Elizabeth Dale beautifully captures the essence of the song and it is fascinating to look at the detailed illustrations in the background with the pink hue creating a sunset backdrop for the audio.
Overall, this is a great track and I look forward to hearing how Marnie Glum will evolve this sound with their future projects.
