"CyberHelix" is the brand new single from Japanese group THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. The single has been well-received by dedicated fans of the group, with the music video featuring futuristic and sleek visuals that mirror the dynamic and electrifying production of singles like 'SILVER RAIN' AND '16 BOOSTERZ'.
The production of 'CyberHelix' is enhanced by the group's fast-paced choreography and contrasts between light and dark visuals. Hokuto's vocals particularly stand out throughout the track, balancing the heaviness of the backing instrumentation with his light vocal tone that creates variation that doesn't overwhelm the listener.
As someone who thoroughly enjoyed their 'REBOOT' album, I must say that this latest single feels quite familiar and reminiscent of their previous work (and this is evident from their recent performance of 'CyberHelix' partnered with 'SILVER RAIN' at the ASEA awards 2024). However, I do think it is a clever decision to reintroduce listeners to the group's music with a song that embodies their signature sound. It will help keep their fanbase engaged while also attracting a new global audience who may not be familiar with their previous work. I look forward to hearing what they release next and if they will be targeting their music to a more global audience as LDH has recently seen a rise in international engagement particularly with groups like Psychic Fever and their single 'Just Like Dat' feat JP THE WAVY.
