'Everything Harmony' is the latest album from the American rock band/brother duo, The Lemon Twigs. It has been three years since the release of the band's lockdown album 'Songs For The General Public', and their latest album continues to showcase classic songwriting that emulates nostalgic bands of the late 1960s-70s.
This album clearly leans towards Brian D'Addario's style of songwriting, with mellow instrumental that dives deep into introspective themes that adds a sense of relatability that will attract new listeners to the band. Songs like 'Everyday Is The Worst Day Of My Life' and 'In My Head' cleverly crafts complex melodies that echo band's like The Beatles and Simon&Garfunkel without sounding like parodies of classic songs.
This album feels familiar because of the nostalgic chord progressions but compared to their previous work, 'Everything Harmony' cements a strong image of the band's style and sound. I really enjoyed this album, and it is by far the band's strongest album and one of my favourite albums of 2023 so far.
