'Feels Like Home' is an indie-pop collaboration between singer-songwriters Lisa Hope and Maria Carmela. Having met over YouTube, the duo decided to collaborate on this single that is set to feature on Hope's upcoming album ROOM 26.
"Although you can be quite lost in a huge city, it also feels a lot like home. You are surrounded by all these people, the lights and the noises, that really gives me a calming energy."
The song features dreamy synth chords and light percussion, complimenting Lisa and Maria's vocals that effortlessly glide across the instrumentation. One notable feature of the track is the lyricism that explores themes of escapism and the feeling of belonging in a large metropolis, with the echoing vocals and chimes painting a nocturnal visual landscape. When you listen to the song, there is a sense of calm and tranquillity with Lisa and Maria's vocals in perfect harmony.
