Live Concert Review: Monelise's 'Multi-dimensional Full Moon Zoom Room Experience'

Shrouded in a cosmic haze accompanied by a hologram projection, Monelise became a sorceress of music enchanting the audience with her ethereal vocals and remarkable visuals.

"I wonder where would I be if I'd chosen a different version of me?"- Sliding Worlds

Despite the challenges of setting up a virtual concert, this full-moon performance felt incredibly intimate with gothic candelabras and hazy visuals providing a stunning backdrop for the setlist. The concert began with a performance of ‘Memory’ conducted by a theremin that produced an eerie wail complimenting the lamenting tone of the vocals. I was captivated by the overlaying images displayed on the screen, with the ghost-like hologram projection of Enrico Caruso swirling across the room.

A highlight from the setlist was a preview of her upcoming single, a track that builds upon the David Lynch-inspired instrumentation present in ‘Sliding Worlds’ whilst incorporating the dark, sultry tones of ‘Insane’. This concert was captivating from beginning to end with Monelise commanding the space around her with the visuals and lighting generating a celestial atmosphere. This was an incredible concert that must have taken months of meticulous planning and hard work, but it paid off. This virtual concert proved that Monelise is an artist who can successfully craft immersive spaces for her audience, using her music and captivating visuals to convey the ethereal tones that are present within her soundscapes.
