'no reason' by Alanna Jolley

'no reason' comes from Cambridge-based 15-year-old indie-musician, Alanna Jolley. I first came across Jolley's song through another music blog (shout-out to Music Room UK) and fell in love with the production on this track. If you're a fan of musicians like Dayglow then I think you will love 'no reason', it features warm indie-pop instrumentation that reflects Jolley's honest lyricism.

The bridge of 'no reason' slowly builds up to the final chorus, with the gradual layers of guitar, synths and percussion complimenting Jolley's soothing vocals that immerse the listener in themes related to teenage love and identity. This is an incredible debut single from Jolley, it captures so many emotions and could easily feature in a coming-of-age film soundtrack. I would highly recommend listening to 'no reason', this is such a promising debut and I look forward to hearing what Jolley releases in the future!
