'Shoe Shop (Living In The Real Life)' by Enfers
‘Shoe Shop (Living In The Real Life)’ is the new single from indie band Enfers. It follows the announcement of their forthcoming EP, 'Longest Day', which is set for release on 28th October. The EP marks a long-awaited return following the success of their debut EP, 'Come When They Call Labour', released back in 2021.
As with any Enfers song, you can count on an earworm, and ‘Shoe Shop (Living In The Real Life)’ is one of their catchiest songs yet. Featuring jangly guitar hooks reminiscent of The 1975, the track builds beautifully towards a soaring, anthemic chorus backed by harmonies that really elevate the main vocals. The polished production and melancholic lyricism echo their debut release while showcasing a more mature sound.
I, for one, am really looking forward to hearing 'Longest Day' and would highly recommend checking out Enfers' previous work. In my opinion, they are one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands around and definitely ones to watch. You heard it here first!
