'Something Special' is the new single from Australian singer-songwriter Karen Harding. This is her fourth single and first fully self-produced track, a song described as a conversation with an "individual who cannot see how special and valuable they are".
Compared to her previous releases; 'Something Special' highlights Harding's incredible vocal range and warm harmonies. The vocals soar throughout the verses and are wrapped in a hazy backdrop that gently guides the listener through the chorus. What I love about this track is the minimalist production, it allows space for the vocals to soar and add depth to the accompaniment. Harding's expressive lyricism remains at the forefront, creating an almost meditative space for the listener to take some time to reflect and relate to the themes explored throughout the song.
