'Tears Run Dry' is the latest single from musician Reilly James, currently based in the North West of England.
I had the pleasure of reviewing James' track 'Bring Me Down' and was excited to hear the new single! 'Tears Run Dry' has all the ingredients of a classic indie-summer song with light timbre and soft bass melody creating a warm instrumental that compliment the vocals. Compared to 'Bring Me Down', which featured a heavier percussive section, 'Tears Run Dry' has softer instrumentation incorporating the light synth melodies to build upon the sounds explored in James' previous work. Reilly James has made a great follow-up single that nicely contrasts his previous work without straying too far from his classic warm-summery sound that is integral to his music. I would be interested to see whether these two tracks will feature on a larger body of work as they seem to be two pieces of a potentially brilliant indie-rock album/EP.
