'The Kick' is the latest single from Newcastle three piece rock band, Ten Eighty Trees. This explosive new single features powerful percussion and gritty distorted melodies that display the band's highly energetic style of performance.
The song is heavy and full of headbanging moments, with a full chorus that features lead singer Nathan's distinct soaring vocals that balance nicely with the raucous instrumental. What I love about the song is the bold attitude that underlies the lyricism; reflected in the thumping percussion that drives this track. The music video which was filmed in Gateshead International Stadium (home of Gateshead FC), provides a fantastic backdrop to accompany the music. I can imagine this song will be a fan favourite, it encapsulates everything I like about Ten Eighty Trees, from their explosive melodies and catchy hooks to their bold live performances.
