'Violet Rainbow' is the latest single from Dublin-based singer-songwriter Tommy Cullen, a track that displays creative growth accompanied by quirky visuals that capture the essence of the song.
The track begins with a heavy bass and light timbre that slowly becomes layered with warm tones creating a powerful pre-chorus leading into the main chorus. The quirky guitar riff and rhythm is reminiscent of 'Sledgehammer' by Peter Gabriel, blending catchy melodies with a progressive beat. The music video captures the fantastical aspects of the song, portraying an almost Methyl Ethel-esque 'Poison Peach' visual sequence that hooks the viewer from beginning to end. This single couldn't be more different from Cullen's previous track 'Night Moves', it displays creative evolution and I can't wait to see what Cullen releases next!
